Eter Chachibaia, COO of MBC:

"2020 and the pandemic have posed special challenges. These include cases of domestic violence and violence against women, which is on the rise around the world due to the pandemic.

MBC has been a signatory to the Women Empowerment Principles for several years. In this direction, we have developed a plan, which we are successfully implementing. However, the new reality has prompted us to take new initiatives - in this case, to support women victims of violence.

The company, along with its employees, showed support for several women victims of violence.
In addition, we have reviewed our procurement policies and given priority to women entrepreneurs. For example, we bought masks from a woman entrepreneur, mother of many children, whom we contacted with the support of the United Nations Women."
