This year MBC is funding Clown Care project for little patients of Iashvili Central Hospital.
Laughter is known to be very good for human health. When we laugh, our body releases a "happy hormone" which fights and destroys cancer cells. Thus, it is very important for patients of oncohematological department who deal with depression, pain, fear and anxiety in the course of treatment, to see a clown once a week and experience positive emotions.
Clown Care is a method which has been used in the leading clinics of Europe and USA for a long time. Studies have shown that clown therapy has a positive effect on treatment both in little patients and their parents who have to stay in clinics for months to undergo a harsh course of chemotherapy.
In addition to the clown therapy, MBC brought a lot of joy to children by giving them toys for the international children's day.
