MBC Joins the Principles of Empowering People with Disabilities

On October 23, within the framework of CSR Week, organized by the Corporate Social Responsibility Club, 15 companies operating on the Georgian market signed the principles of empowering people with disabilities. Among the signatories were MBC as an active member of the CSR club and the United Nations Global Compact Georgia Network. 

The principles are designed to empower people with disabilities in the workplace, market and society.

Principles of empowering people with disabilities:

• Publicly endorsing an approach to support the empowerment of people with disabilities at the policy level and in their day to day operations;
• Access to employment for persons with disabilities;
• Providing opportunities for people with disabilities to gain qualifications and career advancement;
• Creating a decent and safe work environment for people with disabilities;
• Adapting the company’s services and products to the needs of people with disabilities;
• Empowering people with disabilities in the market, by supporting their entrepreneurial activities and integrating them into the value chain of the company;
• Supporting the education of people with disabilities;
• Promote visibility in the community of people with disabilities.
