To mark International Savings Week, MBC ambassadors met with 250 children from more than 10 schools in Georgia and led lessons about saving the money.
The activity was held for students from Telavi, Lagodekhi, Akhaltsikhe, Rustavi, Zestafoni, Samtredia and Batumi schools. Students learned about money saving methods, safety of savings and principles of wise spending as part of the lesson.
International Savings Week has been celebrated in Georgia since 2012 initiated by the National Bank and the educational platform FinEdu. The aim of the week is to raise awareness of saving money among young people.
Meetings with some of the listed schools were organized with the support of the USAID Civic Education Program and the European Union project "Strengthening Skills and Innovative Employment Opportunities for Regional Development of Georgia".
